20 year old rising rap star, Tink, first made waves when she released her debut hit single "Bonnie & Clyde". The track blew up in her hometown, Chicago, and eventually made its way to ears all across the country. Since then, this concious beauty has made tracks with other big Chi-town artists such as Lil Durk, Jeremih and Chief Keef to name a few. Hit producer, Timberland, reached out to the artist and has taken her under his wing. Timberland even said that his former protegee, Aaliyah, came to him in a dream and told him Tink was the one.
Tink is currently working on a new album produced by Timberland that is said to come out this summer. She already has buzzin track, "Around tha clock" featuring some commentary from The Breakfast Club DJ, Charlamagne The God that will be on the album. Tink also recently came out with a video to her new single "Ratchet Commandments" that brings awareness to the way people act these days ; lowering ourselves to be poppin on the gram or to get money. With bars like " I told Tim Like , Im irritated, devastated// I thought, I thought we had some young queens, what you mean//We act belligerent, generation of ignorance."The song was even featured on Love & Hip Hop New York ( how appropriate lol). Hey loves, I haven't updated the site in a while due to work but no mo excuses i'm back. I feel like I'm the last person in the world to create a Netflix account. I live in Chicago so the temps here have been freezing causing me to retreat to my bed, snacks and TV (single life ayyy lol). I recently have been catching up on a lot of cool shows I heard about but never watched. I have comprised a list of the coolest feminist inspired shows and movies on Netflix , so if you're bored or happen to live within the polar vortex you may wanna stuff your bowl and add these to your queue.
1. Being Mary Jane- This show comes on BET network and stars one of my favorite actresses, Gabrielle Union. This show is a kick ass show for all women and it shows the real dynamic of what African American business women go through in the world of dating. Catch up on the first season on netflix then watch season 2 when it premieres in a few short weeks.
2. MeanGirls- Arguably the best movie of the 00's decade. This movie speaks to every millennial girl. I know everyone has seen this movie a gagillion bazillion times but this movie is so good that every time watching it feels like the first. Even though the movie has a superficial facade, it is undeniably about female unity and empowerment. In the end Nobody likes a mean girl just a real girl ! Sn: plus who doesn't love Tina Fey
3. Girl Most Likely- I am a big fan of Kristin Wiig. This movie is incredibly hilarious especially if your going threw the man-hating stage of life. Cheers to new love !
4. 10 Rules For Sleeping Around- The movie is exactly what the title describes. A new age look on relationships and sex. A couple has an open relationship but gives each other ten rules to follow when hooking up with other people.
5. New Girl- This is a show i'm just getting into because I love Zooey Deschanel. The show is about a young woman who recently broke u with her bf then moves in with three single guys who help her through her pain. If this show doesn't scream feminism, what gives !

I have declared 2015 the year of theBadASS Woman ! In 2014, women broke so many barriers and brought women empowerment to the forefront of mainstream coverage. Celebrities from Lena Dunham, Emma Watson, Taylor Swift, Beyonce and even Nicki Minaj spoke out about being a feminist. Feminism means that you want women to be held to an equal standard as men. We are no longer housewives; most women are bosses, single parents,etc and we need to reexamine the way society treats us ! Men such as John Legend and Ryan Gosling are even supporting the feminist movement.
This year as women we need to stop slut-shaming, gossiping, and not supporting each other. Time to release that inner diva and get sh*t done ! Show men how we should be treated and treat them accordingly. We have so many positive women out there owning businesses, are CEOs of fortune 500s or making an impact on their community. It is no reason that in America we still have huge pay gaps between men and women and women still are not allowed to work certain jobs. Ladies, we are ALL Goddesses (creators of life) and should be honored to up most. In the words of Christina Auguilera "Can't Hold Us Down !"
