Nicki Minaj has been slaying the rap game since her debut on the music scene in 2007 ( cues mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty). Ms. Onika is leading females in rap and telling all the haters to kiss her fat ass (yeah you lil kim lol). She received a lot of flack from her last album Pink Friday (2010) because fans thought it was too off base with uber pop songs like "Super Bass" and "Stars And Stripes".  Nicki is back with a New Album, Pinkprint, that is truly amazing and inspires the inner diva in all of us.

Ms. Minaj is back to her hardcore rap style that made us fall in love when she first debuted. She also has been rocking a more natural look than her usual crazy colored wigs (amen!). Nicki is letting us in on her personal life and showing a softer side. She recently broke up with her boyfriend, Safaree, of 14 years and its obvious he was the inspiration for many of the songs on the album. I see Onika took a couple notes from Taylor Swift. 

Nicki didn't disappoint with collabs on the album. She teams up with megastar Beyonce for the ultimate ladies anthem "Feeling Myself" (*starts twerkin*). Label mates Lil Wayne and Drake also team up with Ms.Minaj for the song "Truffle Butter". Other collabs include Skylar Grey, Meek Mill, Jeremih, Ariana Grande & More ! Nicki has got me and ladies all over the world feeling sexy and empowered with her new songs. The vibe of Pinkprint is definitely letting everybody know , I am Woman Here Me Roarrrrrr !!!

This year in particular has been important because this has been a year of protesting and mild revolutions have been starting across the world. From Hong Kong to Ferguson to New York, people are tired of being tired. So, what can we do as individuals to change the world !? Well. it starts with changing the attitudes and are conditioned ways of thinking. We must vibrate higher to create our own heaven on Earth. We must learn to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We must go back to home and locally grown produce.

Ya'll know the Love & Hip Hop shows are my ratchet tv guilty pleasure and it's only right that I give my readers an exclusive sneek peek of Season 5 of Love & Hip Hop New York. The official cast will include Erica Mena, Richie Dollaz, Amina, Tara , Peter, Yandy, Mendecees, Cyn, and some new faces Chrissy Monroe and Jhonni Blaze. The season will follow up on the love triangle between peter, Tara and Amina. The show will also follow up with Cyn and Erica to see why they broke up. Erica's engagement to rapper, Bow wow, will be interesting to see play out on the show as well.

New York is one of my favorites out of the LHH franchise because they actually show the cast working and about the crazy love triangles. I am excited to see Jhonni Blaze, Drake's ex flame & Houston stripper, on this season because I feel she is gonna add the right amount of spice to the show and I don't mind looking at another big ass (lol). Tune in This Monday, December 15 at 8/7c on VH1 to see the season premiere.

Are you apart of the Black Revolution?  This year has shed light on unlawful police killings of unarmed black men (e.g. Mike Brown, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, ETC). Unfortunately, this has shown Americans that racism in this country was never resolved only swept under the rug. Issues on race can no longer be ignored when statistics are showing that 2 black men are killed per week by a police officer. African-Americans are speaking out and no longer sitting and watching the police slowly kill off out black kings. Protests have been sprouting up all over the world, from Ferguson, Missouri all the way to Hong Kong. The recent killings of Trayvon Martin, Micheal Brown and Eric Garner has caused a worldwide uproar. People want justice for police killings/brutality everywhere ! Many protesters boycotted this past Black Friday and Cyber Monday and big retailer felt a big hit. Blacks have the largest amount of spending power (about 1.2 trillion worth) in the world but only 2 percent of that money goes to black businesses. This year people were urged to buy black or from small businesses and stick it to major retail giants (e.g Target, Walmart). The boycott worked because sales fell 11% from last year. Is this the dawn of a new day in America? Well, Americans as a whole has definitely made a statement that we have awakened and that injustice to anyone is injustice everyone !

    Even celebrities are now speaking out on these injustices. The St. Louis Rams held their hands up while walking into the stadium to honor Micheal Brown. Also, Chicago Bulls basketball player, Derrick Rose, wore a shirt saying Eric Garner's last words "I can't breathe" to show his respects as well. This shows that black lives do matter and we as African Americans have to be heard.

   Faithful readers, you know I have been experiencing the single blues for quite a while now. Reason being that I started a new career and have not had time to meet anyone. I would love to meet a guy who doesn't have baby mama drama and has a job (easy , right ...not !). Also , the guys in my area are less than appealing. So recently I've been hearing about this new app called Tinder. I was reading a blog online and a girl was expressing how she found her true love on Tinder and how you can meet really cool ppl on there. Being bored, I decided hey why don't I give this app a try. No matches yet but I definitely have a few hotties that i wouldn't mind meeting up with. I recommend this app to anybody who is just looking to meet someone out of the norm and go on a fun date or even just a hookup, just be careful of course b/c these are complete strangers online. 

       I complied a few videos and news stories about Tinder (below). This app makes dating new and pretty exciting because you never know who might be your match. Its 2014 so we all know how hard it is to find good people and this is a new cutting edge way to meet other singles . So if your a fellow hopeless romantic like myself go ahead and try it out !

T-Pain Shows Haters He Can Sing Without Autotune & Beefs With Kanye West And Future Over Auto-Tune Use !!

One of the biggest artist of the 00's, T-Pain, transformed the music industry when he released his first single back in '04/'05 titled "I'm Sprung" which was recorded completely in auto tune. At the time T-Pain came out he was the only artist using auto-tune and after his first single he became an overnight success. Like most pioneers, Pain received a lot a criticism by people and other artists because they wanted to know if he could sing without help from auto tune. A lot of old hip hop and r&b fans blame Pain for heavy auto-tune use with new artists and some artists use it as a crutch because they lack real talent. Pain is currently beefing with Kanye West and Future for inappropriate use of auto-tune. He even claims he studied auto-tune for 2 years before he even used it. This year T-pain has totally changed as an artist, he cut his dreads off and will be releasing new music in coming months. Check out this exclusive video of T-Pain singing all of his hit songs. I watched the video and could not believe that he could sang like that all this time, I don't see why he used auto-tune in the 1st place! This is def a must-see .

He also has another huge hit on his hands called "I don't sell molly no more" that has been remixed by a few popular artists already. My new favorite TV guilty pleasure just premiered on ABC called Selfie. The show follows a girl, Eliza Dooley, who works for a corporate company and is a instagram loving, selfie addict. Eliza is famous on social media but in real life, not so much. None of her co-workers like her and she always talk about herself. The pilot episode premiered Tuesday and I can already tell that I'm going to love love love this show. In the pilot, Eliza whole life erupts in shambles and she realizes that she is not the best person to get along with. Her co-worker Henry Higgins tells her she needs a personality makeover. Lil Wayne and Drake have had many collaborations in the past (e.g. "HYFR", "Believe Me","She Will" ) and i'd say that they bring out the best in each other musically. The two are nearing the end of their successful co-headlining tour called Lil Wayne vs Drake.Wayne says that after his next album he will be retiring from the rap game all together so I know this album will be an instant classic.

August Alsina released the highly anticipated video to hit single "No Love" featuring Nicki Minaj. The single was a remix to Nicki's previous song with Mario "Somebody Else".  In the video, Nicki never fails to impress. Ms. Minaj had an array of outfit changes throughout the video. She definitely catches all the attention. August also complements her style and also shows fans his uber sexy swag. The two have so much chemistry its hard not to think that they haven't been together before *side eye* and not to mention they've been spotted out together quite a few times. 

August and Nicki have been heavyweights in the music industry this year. Nicki has been the most sought after for features/cameos and her 3rd album, The Pinkprint, is set to release November 24 this year. August has also been garnering huge success since the release of his debut album, Testimony, earlier this year. August is a breakout star this year and his super supportive fans, including me :), got his back !

Love & Hip Hop HOLLYWOOD Season Premiere ! Review And Episodes HERE FIRST !!!

*SPOILER ALERT*

  Last night, The season premiere of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood had the internet buzzin! This season the cast is pretty well known unlike previous seasons of the LHH franchise. The cast includes Teairra Mari, Yung Berg, Soulja Boy, Ray J, Lil Fizz, Omarion and Hazel-E to name a few. Teairra Mari former R&B artist turnt up the first episode by displaying her turbulent on and off relationship with Ray J and even said they have been dating for 9 years (say what!). Ray J recently got into a new relationship with a model named Princess and moved her in his house. Teairra was pissed at Ray J for that because her stuff was still in the house and when she tried to get her stuff back Ray J explained that his girl may have threw it out. Ray J threw a party for his new website and of course invited Ms.Teairra and his new flame which cause a major fade between the two. Lil Fizz also had a huge story-line with him being a single father to his son and his baby mama basically being a deadbeat. The other cast members also kept the episode very interesting. I can tell this season is gonna bring even more viewers than their predecessor Love and Hip Hop ATL. My favorites so far are Soulja boy and Lil Fizz because they're gonna keep this season turned up. This season of Love And Hip Hop shows the dynamic of young, rich Hollywood !
