Nicki's Greatest Work Thus Far !!!

Nicki Minaj has been slaying the rap game since her debut on the music scene in 2007 ( cues mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty). Ms. Onika is leading females in rap and telling all the haters to kiss her fat ass (yeah you lil kim lol). She received a lot of flack from her last album Pink Friday (2010) because fans thought it was too off base with uber pop songs like "Super Bass" and "Stars And Stripes".  Nicki is back with a New Album, Pinkprint, that is truly amazing and inspires the inner diva in all of us.

Ms. Minaj is back to her hardcore rap style that made us fall in love when she first debuted. She also has been rocking a more natural look than her usual crazy colored wigs (amen!). Nicki is letting us in on her personal life and showing a softer side. She recently broke up with her boyfriend, Safaree, of 14 years and its obvious he was the inspiration for many of the songs on the album. I see Onika took a couple notes from Taylor Swift. 

Nicki didn't disappoint with collabs on the album. She teams up with megastar Beyonce for the ultimate ladies anthem "Feeling Myself" (*starts twerkin*). Label mates Lil Wayne and Drake also team up with Ms.Minaj for the song "Truffle Butter". Other collabs include Skylar Grey, Meek Mill, Jeremih, Ariana Grande & More ! Nicki has got me and ladies all over the world feeling sexy and empowered with her new songs. The vibe of Pinkprint is definitely letting everybody know , I am Woman Here Me Roarrrrrr !!!

It's time to drop some real knowledge on you all. The world and America as we know it is changing right before our very eyes. We're seeing people waking up everyday to the oppression and tyrannical government we've been under for 100s of years. Society is realizing that we are slaves to a one world government and greedy capitalists. 

This year in particular has been important because this has been a year of protesting and mild revolutions have been starting across the world. From Hong Kong to Ferguson to New York, people are tired of being tired. So, what can we do as individuals to change the world !? Well. it starts with changing the attitudes and are conditioned ways of thinking. We must vibrate higher to create our own heaven on Earth. We must learn to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We must go back to home and locally grown produce.

Ya'll know the Love & Hip Hop shows are my ratchet tv guilty pleasure and it's only right that I give my readers an exclusive sneek peek of Season 5 of Love & Hip Hop New York. The official cast will include Erica Mena, Richie Dollaz, Amina, Tara , Peter, Yandy, Mendecees, Cyn, and some new faces Chrissy Monroe and Jhonni Blaze. The season will follow up on the love triangle between peter, Tara and Amina. The show will also follow up with Cyn and Erica to see why they broke up. Erica's engagement to rapper, Bow wow, will be interesting to see play out on the show as well.

New York is one of my favorites out of the LHH franchise because they actually show the cast working and about the crazy love triangles. I am excited to see Jhonni Blaze, Drake's ex flame & Houston stripper, on this season because I feel she is gonna add the right amount of spice to the show and I don't mind looking at another big ass (lol). Tune in This Monday, December 15 at 8/7c on VH1 to see the season premiere.

Are you apart of the Black Revolution?  This year has shed light on unlawful police killings of unarmed black men (e.g. Mike Brown, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, ETC). Unfortunately, this has shown Americans that racism in this country was never resolved only swept under the rug. Issues on race can no longer be ignored when statistics are showing that 2 black men are killed per week by a police officer. African-Americans are speaking out and no longer sitting and watching the police slowly kill off out black kings. Protests have been sprouting up all over the world, from Ferguson, Missouri all the way to Hong Kong. The recent killings of Trayvon Martin, Micheal Brown and Eric Garner has caused a worldwide uproar. People want justice for police killings/brutality everywhere ! Many protesters boycotted this past Black Friday and Cyber Monday and big retailer felt a big hit. Blacks have the largest amount of spending power (about 1.2 trillion worth) in the world but only 2 percent of that money goes to black businesses. This year people were urged to buy black or from small businesses and stick it to major retail giants (e.g Target, Walmart). The boycott worked because sales fell 11% from last year. Is this the dawn of a new day in America? Well, Americans as a whole has definitely made a statement that we have awakened and that injustice to anyone is injustice everyone !

    Even celebrities are now speaking out on these injustices. The St. Louis Rams held their hands up while walking into the stadium to honor Micheal Brown. Also, Chicago Bulls basketball player, Derrick Rose, wore a shirt saying Eric Garner's last words "I can't breathe" to show his respects as well. This shows that black lives do matter and we as African Americans have to be heard.

   Faithful readers, you know I have been experiencing the single blues for quite a while now. Reason being that I started a new career and have not had time to meet anyone. I would love to meet a guy who doesn't have baby mama drama and has a job (easy , right ...not !). Also , the guys in my area are less than appealing. So recently I've been hearing about this new app called Tinder. I was reading a blog online and a girl was expressing how she found her true love on Tinder and how you can meet really cool ppl on there. Being bored, I decided hey why don't I give this app a try. No matches yet but I definitely have a few hotties that i wouldn't mind meeting up with. I recommend this app to anybody who is just looking to meet someone out of the norm and go on a fun date or even just a hookup, just be careful of course b/c these are complete strangers online. 

       I complied a few videos and news stories about Tinder (below). This app makes dating new and pretty exciting because you never know who might be your match. Its 2014 so we all know how hard it is to find good people and this is a new cutting edge way to meet other singles . So if your a fellow hopeless romantic like myself go ahead and try it out !

I finally went out on a date with guy from Tinder and it was amazing. He was everything I wanted and we're still talking trying to see where this spark is gonna lead. :)
